Welcome to Connections!
The BYUSA Connection Area focuses on strengthening the Student Connection and Leadership Center’s relationship to individual students and different groups here on campus. We work to create a more connected BYU by sharing the message of our organization and bringing students together.
We primarily concentrate on providing valuable and worthwhile volunteer experiences for all students interested in participating as BYUSA volunteers. Our job is to help each student find the right program for them and help them benefit from all that BYUSA has to offer.
Our goal is to create a place at BYU where everyone can feel that they are welcome, that they belong, and that they are making a difference.

AWARENESS

Campus Outreach
Campus Outreach holds pop up booths around campus that give out food, swag, goodie bags, motivation for finals, and more. These events are focused on innovatively connecting students to campus, showcasing BYUSA, and encouraging students that interact with the booth to start volunteering.

Yearbook
Each semester a group of students takes photos and gathers stories to create a yearbook documenting the experiences of BYUSA staff and employees. Additionally, the virtual version published monthly on the website aims to help students be excited about future BYUSA opportunities.

RECRUITMENT

Blue Crew
Blue Crew is a flexible network of day-of volunteers who help create the magic of BYUSA activities across all areas. This group is great for busy students who can't commit to weekly team meetings but still want to be a critical part of executing the events that make BYU so unique.

In-Center Events
In-Center events invite students to come into the office (WSC 3400) for games, food, and fun. They allow students to get to know what BYUSA is about, learn about upcoming events and volunteer openings, and connect with other students in the office!

Social Media Recruitment
Social Media Recruitment focuses on crafting quality content to share the success stories of BYUSA volunteers with the rest of the student body. It's a way to reach a diverse audience of students looking for leadership opportunities.

Volunteer Success focuses on helping individual volunteers feel valued and celebrated! They place volunteers on teams that will best fit their personalities and gifts, plan gratitude campaigns to appreciate outstanding volunteers, and help everyone feel belonging within the BYUSA family.

Alumni
Alumni strengthens relationships between volunteers and BYUSA alumni by hosting networking events for volunteers to learn from alumni about how their BYUSA experience prepared them for their career path, including topics such as resume and interview tips. Alumni maintain this alumni network by collecting and sharing BYUSA alumni testimonials on the LinkedIn page.

Y Connect
Y Connect designs social media strategies and posts engaging content to encouraging interaction between the general student body and the BYUSA Instagram page. One key part of the program includes managing exciting giveaways to incentivize stronger connections.

Connections VP
Hey everyone! My name is Maile Berg and I am the VP over Connections! I am from Alpine, Utah, and am studying Global Supply Chain Management. When I'm not dancing, you can find me skiing, eating pie, or watching the latest season of Survivor. Connections is an important thing to me because of its focus on YOU!
