Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q: Do I need to be a BYU student to attend?
A: You need to hold a current BYU ID in order to purchase tickets. However, non-BYU students are welcome to attend if their ticket was bought with a BYU ID.

Q: I have a current BYU Student ID, can I bring my kids to Fall Freeze?
A: No. The only exception for minors to attend Cougar Skate is for current BYU students under the age of 18.
  • Q: Can I buy my tickets at the door of the event?
A: Yes. Tickets will be available both online and at the door.

Q: What does my ticket include?
A: The purchase of a ticket includes entry to Peaks Ice Arena, refreshments, broom hockey, 60 minutes of ice skating, crafts, photo ops, and booths from several organizations across campus including Y-Serve!!

Q: Why are tickets sold by time slots?
A: Because so many students attend this event, the best way for us to provide everyone a fair opportunity to ice skate is to give each person a designated time slot of skate time. However, students have access to all other event offerings throughout the night. Time slots apply only to ice skating.

    Q: Are group discounts offered?
A: No, we do not offer a group discount at this time.
  • The Peaks Ice Arena is located at 100 N Seven Peaks Blvd, Provo, UT 84606.

Q: I don't have a vehicle to get me to Peaks Ice Arena. Is there another way for me to get there?
A: Yes! Shuttles will be running every 15 minutes from the WSC east roundabout starting at 7:30pm & will end at 11:15pm from the WSC. The last shuttle from peaks back to the WSC will be at 12:15am.

*Shuttles do not have exact depart/arrival times as they simply run continuous loops based on student need, but departure times from each location will be no more than 15 minutes apart.
