Laura Bond

Student Advisory Council Coordinator
Full Time Staff

Laura is the BYUSA Student Advisory Council Coordinator. Laura was born and raised in Arizona, but she has called Utah home for the last thirty years. She loves the mountains, but she hates the snow! Laura served a mission at the Oakland California Temple Visitors’ Center. Laura graduated from BYU in English and History Secondary Education. She taught on the high school level for twelve years before coming to work at BYU in Residence Life in 2012.

At BYU Laura worked as a housing manager and oversaw a variety of areas in on-campus housing. She enjoyed working with the members of the Residence Halls Association planning activities, training resident assistants and hall advisors, and most of all mentoring students. Laura also received a Master of Academic Advising from Kansas State University in 2017.

Laura joined the Student Connection and Leadership Center in 2024 and is looking forward to working alongside some amazing student leaders! In her spare time, Laura enjoys trying new restaurants, reading, spending time with family, and traveling. Laura and her husband Steve have been married for six years and live in Orem. They stay busy cheering on their grandsons in sports competitions and musical recitals.
